Ceremonial matcha
The highest grade of matcha from the first spring harvest — at NOA café in Žižkov.
What is ceremonial matcha and why does it matter? Ceremonial grade matcha is the finest, highest-quality grade of green tea matcha. The leaves are shaded for weeks before harvest, hand-picked at the first spring harvest and stone-milled into a silky-fine powder. The result is a vivid green color, natural sweetness and no bitterness.
How it differs from regular matcha
Culinary matcha is cheaper, coarser and more bitter — great for baking. Ceremonial matcha is meant to be sipped on its own or in a latte, because its flavor is smooth and full. We use ceremonial grade only.
How we prepare it
Every cup is hand-whisked with a bamboo chasen into a fluffy foam — hot or iced. Have it as pure usucha or as a creamy matcha latte.
